A warming touch

Welcoming you to Virtue Holistics
My name is Megan,I'm an outgoing & friendly holistic therapist and I love making a difference to the wellbeing of my clients, and also my family which reap the benefits of a treatment whenever they're feeling in need of relaxation or even a 'pick-me-up'.

Virtue Holistics is my holistic therapy business which I run from my lovely Therapy room in a quiet village on the outskirts of Carmarthen.

I have a level 3 Diploma in reflexology, which is one of my favourite therapies to give as it helps the body to re-balance and feel a sense of calm.
I also do baby reflexology classes or one to one sessions with parent and baby.

I have level 3 qualification in Sports massage, which is a very popular treatment, relieving tension and helping with mobility.

I've ventured down the route of Myofascial Release to use alongside my other therapies which uses amazing techniques to help the fascia to release and move with ease, which helps with ease of mobility.

I also offer Indian head massage as a treatment too.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release - “Myo” means muscle. “Fascial” refers to the connective tissue that covers and supports the muscles throughout your entire body. During myofascial release therapy we don't focus specifically on your muscles, we focus on releasing tension in your fascial tissues, with a hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective tissue to relieve pain and improve motion. Normally, fascia is flexible and stretchy (like a spider web, stringy tissue is densely woven throughout your muscles, bones, nerves, arteries, veins and organs. Its one continuous structure throughout your body) And it’s very strong. It provides structural support to your body and protects your muscles. Fascia usually moves without any restrictions. But when your body experiences any kind of trauma, your fascia loses its flexibility. It becomes tightened and 'stuck'. This tightness can lead to pain and loss of motion, which can affect your quality of life. You nay benefit from myofascial release if you suffer with any of the following: Physical trauma, Migranes, Muscle tension, Frozen shoulder, Carpal tunnel, Tennis elbow, Repetitive strain injury, Inflammation, Scarring, Compressed nerves, Fibromyalgia. £45 per session (60mins) £65 full body (90 mins) Since i find the fascia so interesting and complex Heres some more about fascia: Keeping hydrated is an important component in the health of your fascia. Since fascia is made up of 70% water, it is crucial to keep your body hydrated. When fascia gets dehydrated it loses the ability to slide and glide against other tissues. It then sticks to other structures and can cause dysfunction and adhesions, This can cause pain and poor functioning in your body.  Your fascia, the largest sensory system in your body, is not just structural. it’s emotional! Every stress response, every suppressed emotion, every moment of self-doubt gets stored in your fascia, reinforcing the very patterns you are trying to break free from. That mental loop of “I can’t,” “I’m stuck,” or “I’ll never change” isn’t just in your head—it’s in your body. When your fascia is tight, dehydrated, or has blockages, it holds onto the emotions, traumas, and mental blocks you haven’t fully processed. This physical tension feeds into emotional and mental stagnation, making it difficult to change thought patterns and embrace transformation. This is why you feel stuck.  Some of the ways you can release the fascia are: Stretching and Yoga, Breathwork, Myofascial Release, Massage, Drink water, Movement, Meditation and Mindfulness.
