Myofascial Release - “Myo” means muscle. “Fascial” refers to the connective tissue that covers and supports the muscles throughout your entire body. During myofascial release therapy we don't focus specifically on your muscles, we focus on releasing tension in your fascial tissues, with a hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective tissue to relieve pain and improve motion. Normally, fascia is flexible and stretchy (like a spider web, stringy tissue is densely woven throughout your muscles, bones, nerves, arteries, veins and organs.
